4–5 litres of water daily. Avoid alcohol for the first 3 days at altitude.

Never gain 300 m+ per day above 3,500 m. Rest immediately if symptoms appear.

Know AMS Signs
Headache, nausea, dizziness = altitude sickness. Tell your guide. Descent is the only cure.

Fuel Your Body
High-carb diet at altitude. Eat even when not hungry. Avoid heavy meals at night at camp.
